Their preferred route involves 370 privately owned parcels and would take this pipeline through farms, forests and sensitive habitats where the federally endangered Bunched Arrowhead plant has been found! We must not allow this to happen!
Upstate Forever, an environmental nonprofit organization in Greenville, is against the construction of the pipeline in part because of environmental effects officials say it would have — specifically to the bunched arrowhead, an endangered, rare plant that grows only in Greenville and Henderson (N.C.) counties. The route that would require more easements would also run through areas where completed homes stand as well as through working farms and streams that Upstate Forever works to preserve, said Megan Chase, state policy director of Upstate Forever.
Oct. 25 - 6pm at Famoda Farm.

If you live in the affected area and oppose this pipeline, please contact us. We need your help in voicing a STRONG opposition to PNG's GREEN route, which would result in regulatory takings of private property. Even if you did not receive PNG's letter, spread the word to your friends and neighbors - the exact route isn't known yet.
